Mangalore Dosakai Chutney

Ingredients

Sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon

Cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon
•
Dosakai (skin only)
- 1
•
Coconut (fresh, grated)
- 1 cup
•
Black pepper
- 2 teaspoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Coconut oil (for seasoning)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
Method
1. Dry
roast
the
sesame seeds
in a
frying
pan.
2.
Add
oil
and
fry
dosakai
skin only.
3.
Grind
cooked
dosakai
,
coconut
, roasted
sesame seed
,
black pepper
and
salt
.
4. For
seasoning
heat
coconut oil
add
mustard seeds
,
curry leaves
and saute.
5.
Add
the
seasoning
to the chutney and
serve
.
