Ingredients

Idlis
- 6

Onions (finely chopped)
- 1 cup
•
Green chillies (cut into small pieces)
- 4
•
Ginger (finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon
•
Carrots (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Urad dal
- 1 teaspoon
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
Ingredients For Garnishing
•
Coriander leaves (finely cut)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- 2 tablespoons
Method
1. Crumble the
idli
with a teaspoon of sesame
oil
. You can refrigerate the
idlis
, this will
make
your job easy as it wont stick to your fingers.
2.
Cut
onions
and
chillies
into small pieces.
3.
Heat
a deep curved pan with
oil
and ghee.
4.
Add
seasonings
,
chillies
and
onion
.
5.
Fry
till
onions
become translucent.
6.
Add
carrots
,
salt
and
fry
for a minute.
7.
Add
the crumbled
idli
and
mix
well.
8.
Mix
well and garnish with grated
coconut
and
coriander leaves
.
