Water

Salt
- as required

Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon

Oil
- 1 tablespoon

Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Urad dal
- 1 teaspoon
•
Besan dal
- 1 teaspoon
•
Peanuts
- 2 tablespoons
•
Cashew nuts
- 1 tablespoon
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
•
Green chillies (finely chopped)
- 3
•
Ginger (finely chopped)
- ½ teaspoon
•
Onions (finely chopped)
- ½ cup
•
Carrots (grated)
- ½ cup
•
Coconut (grated)
- ½ cup
•
Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Jeera-pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon
Method
1. In a bowl,
add
poha
,
salt
and
turmeric powder
.
Add
water
and
soak
for 10 minutes.
2.
Heat
oil
in a pan.
Add
mustard seeds
,
urad dal
,
besan dal
and let them sizzle.
3.
Add
peanut
,
cashew nut
and
fry
until golden brown.
4.
Add
curry leaves
,
green chillies
,
ginger
,
onion
and saute.
5.
Add
poha
and
cook
well.
6.
Add
grated
carrot
, grated
coconut
and finely chopped
coriander leaves
.
Mix
well.
7.
Add
jeera-pepper powder
.
Mix
well.
8.
Serve
hot and enjoy!
