Apple Sweet Chutney

Ingredients

Apple
- ¼ kg
•
Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon
•
Onion (large)
- 1
•
Ginger (grated)
- 1 inch
•
Garlic (peeled)
- 2 flakes
•
Red chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Vinegar
- 2 tablespoons
•
Sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Jeera powder (roasted)
- 2 teaspoons
Method
1.
Wash
,
Scrape
outer skin and
grate
apples
.
2.
Mix
lemon juice
with that to prevent discolouration.
3.
Peel
and
dice
onion
.
4.
Grate
ginger
using fine cheese grater.
5. Take
onion
,
garlic
,
ginger
in a vessel.
6.
Pour
just enough
water
to
cover
it.
7.
Cook
it in medium flame until
onion
becomes soft.
8.
Mash
well,
add
grated
apples
and
pour
little more
water
to
cover
it.
9.
Heat
it in medium flame
stirring
in between until the
mixture
turns thick.
10.
Add
salt
,
chilly
powder
,
sugar
,
vinegar
and
mix
well.
11. Switch off the stove and
add
roasted
cumin powder
.
12.
Mix
well, allow to cool and bottle it.
