Red Chilly Chutney

Ingredients

Red chillies (long)
- 5
•
Tamarind
- lemon size
•
Garlic (peeled)
- 3 flakes
•
Urad dal
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- 1 teaspoon
•
Oil
- 2 teaspoons
•
Mustard seeds
- ΒΌ teaspoon
•
Asafoetida
- 2 pinches
Method
1.
Heat
little
oil
in a
frying
pan and
roast
chillies
and
urad dal
.
2. Transfer to a plate.
3.
Soak
tamarind
in
water
and
prepare
a thick extract.
4.
Grind
roasted
ingredients
along with
salt
,
garlic
, to a
coarse paste
.
5.
Heat
little
oil
,
add
mustard
,
asafoetida
and
ground paste
.
6.
Fry
for a minute and
pour
tamarind
extract.
7. Allow to
boil
and
remove
from fire.
