Aloo Paneer

Ingredients

Onions
- 5
•
Tomato
- 1

Paneer
- 200 grams
•
Potato (half cooked)
- ¼ kg
•
Dhania powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Red chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Sugar
- 1 teaspoon
•
Garam masala powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
•
Cashew nuts (fried, for garnishing)
- 1 tablespoon
Ingredients For Mixing Together And Marinade
•
Tomato ketchup
- 3 tablespoons
•
White vinegar
- 1 tablespoon
•
Dhania powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Jeera powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Salt
- ½ teaspoon
•
Black pepper powder
- ¼ teaspoon
Method
1.
Cut
onions
and
tomatoes
finely.
2.
Peel
outer skin from
potatoes
and
cut
finger length pieces (as for finger chips).
3.
Slice
paneer
also lengthwise pieces.
4.
Mix
all the
Ingredients
: mentioned under
marinade
together and put
paneer
and
potato
pieces in that.
5. Allow it to
soak
for half an hour.
6.
Remove
pieces alone from the
marinade
and
keep
under hot
grill
with little butter on top till it turns golden brown.
7.
Heat
oil
in a
frying
pan and
fry
onions
till crisp.
8.
Add
dhania powder
,
chilly
powder
,
garam masala powder
in that
oil
itself.
9.
Stir
for a minute and then
add
tomatoes
.
10.
Fry
till it turns pulpy.
Add
salt
and little
sugar
.
11. If there is any left over
marinade
,
pour
it over and
cook
for few minutes.
12.
Add
grilled
potatoes
and
paneer
pieces.
Mix
gently and
remove
from fire.
13. Garnish with fried
cashew nuts
on top and
serve
hot.
