Methi Bhaji

Ingredients
•
Onion
- ½ kg
•
Fenugreek leaves (fresh)
- 1 cup
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
•
Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon
•
Dhania powder
- 1 tablespoon
•
Jeera powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Red chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Sugar
- 1 teaspoon
•
Green peas (cooked)
- ½ cup
•
Tomato paste
- ¼ cup
•
Garam masala powder
- ½ teaspoon
Method
1.
Peel
and
grate
onion
using large eyed grater.
2.
Wash
and
chop
fenugreek leaves
. Sprinkle little
salt
and
keep
aside.
3.
Heat
oil
in a
frying
pan,
add
ginger garlic paste
and then grated
onion
.
4.
Fry
till golden brown and then
add
dhania powder
,
jeera powder
,
red chilly powder
,
garam masala powder
.
5.
Stir
for two minutes,
add
fenugreek leaves
(squeeze and then put) and
fry
for another few minutes in reduced flame.
6.
Add
tomato paste
,
salt
, little
sugar
and
cook
till it becomes thick.
7.
Serve
hot with chapatis or as a topping for toasted bread.
