Tomato Coconut Chutney

Oil (for seasoning)

Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Mustard
- ½ teaspoon
•
Urad dal
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Asafoetidas
- a little
Method
1.
Peel
and
dice
onion
, and
tomatoes
.
2.
Grate
coconut
.
3.
Heat
oil
in a
frying
pan
add
mustard
,
urad dal
and then
asafoetida
,
red chillies
.
4.
Add
diced
onion
and
fry
well.
5.
Mix
diced
tomatoes
and
fry
until moisture evaporates.
6.
Add
coconut
at the end and
fry
for 1 or 2 minutes.
7. Allow to cool thoroughly,
add
salt
and
grind
to coarse chutney consistency and
serve
.
