Tomato Chutney with Cinnamon

Ingredients

• • Onions - 5
• • Tomatoes - 5
• • Garlic - 6 flakes
• • Chilly powder - 1 teaspoon
• • Turmeric powder - ½ teaspoon
• • Salt - as required
• • Cinnamon - 1 inch piece
• • Cloves - 3

Ingredients For Grinding Together

• • Coconut (grated, fresh) - 2 tablespoons
• • Aniseeds - ¼ teaspoon

Method

• 1. Chop onions and tomatoes.
• 2. Heat oil, add cinnamon, cloves, garlic, onions and then tomatoes.
• 3. Saute till moisture is absorbed.
• 4. Add salt, turmeric, chilly powder and little water.
• 5. Cook for few more minutes.
• 6. Add ground paste, with little more oil.
• 7. Fry till oil separates.
