Onions (small, peeled)
- ¾ cup

Tomatoes
- 5
•
Red chillies
- 8
•
Aniseeds
- a little
•
Asafoetidas
- a pinch
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- as required
Method
1.
Chop
tomatoes
and
grind
with other
ingredients
to
coarse paste
.
2.
Heat
oil
and
fry
the
ground paste
till
oil
separates.
3.
Serve
this with Vellai appam.
