Thuar Dal Garlic Chutney

Ingredients

Thuar dal
- 2 tablespoons
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- ½ cup
•
Red chillies
- 8
•
Tamarind (soaked & extracted)
- small lime size
•
Jaggery (grated)
- a little
•
Garlic (peeled)
- 8 flakes
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- 2 teaspoons
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
Method
1.
Roast
chillies
and
thuar dal
using ¼ Teaspoon of
oil
until
dal
turns golden brown.
2.
Fry
garlic
in little
oil
separately.
3.
Grind
both with
coconut
,
salt
,
tamarind
,
jaggery
to coarse chutney consistency.
4.
Heat
little
oil
,
add
mustard seeds
, allow to crackle and
mix
with chutney and
serve
.
