Tender Jack Gravy

Ingredients

Jack fruit/Raw jack fruit (tender)
- ¼ kg
•
Coconut
- 1
•
Onion
- 1
•
Cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Sambar powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
•
Curry leaves (for garnishing)
- 1 sprig
Method
1.
Grate
coconut
and
grind
with little
water
.
2.
Strain
and squeeze out 1st extract.
3.
Add
more
water
and take second extract.
4.
Keep
both separately.
5.
Cut
onions
finely.
6.
Remove
outer core, fibres and mince jack into very fine pieces.
7.
Heat
little
oil
,
add
cumin seeds
and then
onion
.
8.
Fry
for few minutes and then
add
jack.
9.
Fry
well,
add
Sambar powder
,
salt
, second extract of
coconut
and pressure
cook
for 5 minutes.
10. After
removing
lid,
add
first extract of
coconut
and
cook
for one minute.
