Sprouted Horse Gram Kurma

Horse grams
- 1 cup

Onions

Ingredients For Grinding Together
•
Red chillies
- 8
•
Dhania
- 1 teaspoon
•
Jeera
- ½ teaspoon
•
Ginger
- 1 inch piece
•
Coriander leaves
- 1 bunch
•
Garlic
- 8 flakes
•
Onion
- 1
•
Coconut (grated)
- ½
•
Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Poppy seeds (roasted)
- 2 teaspoons
•
Tomatoes
- 3
Method
1. First
grind
other
ingredients
of
masala
,
add
tomatoes
at the end and
grind
well.
2.
Soak
Horse gram
for 10 hrs.
3. Tie it in a muslin cloth and allow it to sprout for 24 hours.
4.
Cook
the sprouted
gram
with enough
water
in pressure cooker,
strain
and reserve the
water
.
5.
Peel
and cube the
potatoes
,
cut
onions
finely.
6.
Heat
the cooker,
pour
oil
in it and
add
onions
.
7.
Fry
till it browns and
add
ground
masala
.
8. Continue to
fry
in medium
heat
till it smells good.
9.
Add
potato
cubes, boiled
gram
with enough
water
and
salt
.
10.
Cover
and pressure
cook
till the whistle comes.
11. Garnish with
cut
coriander leaves
,
serve
hot with
cut
onions
and lemon.
