Soya Chunks Fry

Ingredients
•
Onions (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Tomatoes (chopped)
- ¼ cup
•
Soya chunks
- 1 cup
•
Dhania powder
- 2 teaspoons
•
Red chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Cardamoms (for seasoning)
- a little
Ingredients For Grinding Together
•
Ginger
- ½ inch piece
•
Garlic
- 5 flakes
•
Aniseeds
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Cloves
- 3
•
Cinnamon
- ½ inch piece
Method
1.
Soak
soya chunks
in very
hot water
for 2 minutes.
2. Squeeze and
take out
.
3. Repeat the process twice more to
remove
smell from
soya chunks
.
4.
Heat
oil
.
add
seasonings
,
onions
and then
tomatoes
.
5.
Mix
dhania powder
,
chilly
powder
in that
oil
.
6.
Add
soya and continue
frying
for few more minutes.
7.
Add
ground paste
and
fry
till dry.
8.
Serve
as a dry curry with rice.
Note - Variations
•
Grind
2 Tablespoon of grated fresh coconut, ¼ Teaspoon of black
pepper
, 1 big
onion
, 2 large
tomatoes
to smooth
paste
.
•
Add
ginger
,
garlic
paste
while
frying
. Follow above procedure.
• Squeeze lime just before
removing
from fire. Garnish with coriander
leaves
.
Note
• Select fine
soya chunks
when
making
dry curry which tastes better than round
chunks
.
