Red Hot Tomato Chicken

Ingredients
•
Chicken (cut into 6-8 pieces)
- 800 grams
•
Red chilly paste
- 1 tablespoon
•
Garlic-ginger paste
- 2 tablespoons
•
Vinegar
- 3 tablespoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- 5 tablespoons
•
Onion (chopped)
- 1
•
Tomato puree
- ½ cup
•
Mint leaves/Pudinas (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons
Method
1.
Marinate
chicken
with
red chilly paste
,
garlic-ginger paste
,
vinegar
and
salt
.
2.
Heat
oil
in a pressure cooker.
Add
onions
.
Cook
till they slightly change colour.
3.
Add
the
chicken
pieces and
cook
on medium flame till
chicken
changes colour.
4.
Add
tomato puree
.
Cook
for 2 minutes on low
heat
.
5.
Add
¾ cup
water
. Pressure
cook
to give 2 whistles.
6. Drop the pressure by putting
cold water
on the lid of the cooker. Open the lid.
7. Return to fire.
Add
pudina
leaves
.
Cook
till the
masala
coats the
chicken
pieces.
8. Garnish with some
pudina
leaves
.
Serve
hot.
