Raw Banana Sabzi

Ingredients

Bananas (raw)
- 2
•
Onions
- 4
•
Garlic
- 10 flakes
•
Ginger-garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Chilly powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Garam masala powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Jeera powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Mustard powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Fenugreek powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Tomato
- ½ kg
•
Oil (for deep frying)
- as required
•
Coriander leaves
- a little
Method
1.
Slice
onions
into 1 inch long thin pieces.
Peel
garlic
.
2.
Remove
skin from
banana
,
cut
into ½ inch thick round pieces and deep
fry
till brown.
3.
Roast
mustard
and
fenugreek
separately in an empty pan and
powder
separately.
4. Blanch
tomatoes
in
hot water
for few minutes,
remove
the skin and
mash
into a thick-pulp.
5.
Heat
oil
in a
frying
pan,
fry
onions
and
garlic
till golden brown.
6.
Add
ginger,
garlic
paste
.
7.
Fry
for few minutes, then
pour
tomato
pulp and
cook
till it turns thick.
8.
Add
salt
,
chilly powder
,
jeera powder
and
pour
just enough
water
.
9. Allow it to
boil
and
add
deep fried
banana
pieces,
cook
till the gravy turns thick.
10. Sprinkle
mustard powder
,
fenugreek powder
and
garam masala
before
removing
from fire.
11. Garnish with
coriander leaves
.
