Raw Banana Podimas

Ingredients

Bananas/Plantains (raw)
- 2
•
Green chillies
- 3
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- 3 tablespoons
•
Lemon
- 1
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Bengal gram dal
- 1 teaspoon
•
Black gram dal
- 1 teaspoon
Method
1. Steam raw
banana
with skin in pressure cooker till outer skin peels easily.
2. Allow to cool and
peel
outer skin.
3.
Grate
it using a stainless steel grater
4.
Mix
lemon
juice immediately with that. (This prevents browning of
banana
)
5.
Heat
oil
,
add
seasoning
, slit
green chilly
and then grated
banana
.
6.
Stir
well till good flavour comes.
7. Squeeze more lime if necessary.
8. Garnish with chopped coriander
leaves
, grated fresh
coconut
and
remove
from fire.
