Punjabi Style Bharwan Tinda

Ingredients

Tindey
- 500 grams
•
Salt
- as required
•
Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Red chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Amchur powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Sambar masala powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Asafoetidas
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Ghee
- 2 tablespoons
•
Cumin seeds -s
- 1 teaspoon
•
Ginger
- 1 inch
•
Green chillies
- 2
•
Onions (chopped)
- 1 cup
Method
1. Silt
tindey
into four and
keep
aside.
2.
Mix
salt
,
turmeric powder
,
red chilly powder
,
amchur powder
,
coriander powder
,
sambar masala powder
,
garam masala powder
and
asafoetida
in a bowl.
3.
Mix
the
spices
well and stuff them using a spoon inside the insertions made on
tindey
.
4.
Heat
ghee
,
add
cumin
seeds
and let them sputter.
5.
Add
ginger
,
green chilly
and saute for a minute.
6.
Add
onions
and saute them until it becomes translucent.
7.
Add
the stuffed
tindey
and saute for two minutes.
8.
Cover
the
tindey
and
cook
well.
9.
Serve
hot with roti.
