Prawn Tikka Masala

Ingredients

Jumbo prawns (deveined & cleaned)
- 25
Ingredients For Marination

Lemon
- ½
•
Salt
- 1 teaspoon

Chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon
Ingredients For Gravy
•
Yogurt/Curd
- ½ cup
•
Cream
- ¼ cup
•
Onions (finely chopped)
- 2
•
Tomato puree
- 1 tablespoon
•
Kashmiri chilly powder
- 1 tablespoon
•
Salt
- 1 teaspoon
•
Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Garam masala powder
- 1 tablespoon
•
Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon
•
Butter
- 1 tablespoon
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
•
Tandoori masala (for color)
- 1 teaspoon
Method
1. Put
lemon
juice,
salt
,
chillies
powder
and
ginger-garlic paste
and
mix
it well.
Add
prawns
,
mix
it well so that the
masala
stick to the
prawns
and
marinate
for 20 minutes.
2.
Boil
water
,
add
tomatoes and
keep
it for 5 minutes,
remove
it when you notice the outer skin cracks.
Peel
the tomato skins when it is cooled.
Make
puree
of the skinned tomatoes in a blender and set it aside.

Heat
a pan and put
butter
. Put the marinated
prawns
and
cook
it for 5 - 6 minutes and set it aside.
4. Clean the pan and
heat
it in medium fire,
add
oil
and when the
oil
is hot
add
cumin seeds
. When it sizzles
add
chopped
onions
and saute it until it turns golden brown.

Add
turmeric
power,
chilly
power,
ginger-garlic paste
and
salt
.
Fry
it for a minute. Now
add
tomato puree
,
mix
it well.
Cook
it for 2 - 3 minutes until the
mixture
thickens.
6.
Add
yogurt
,
cream
and
garam masala
power and
mix
it well in low flame.
7.
Add
cooked
prawns
,
tandoor
masala
and
salt
to
taste
and
mix
it well and
keep
it in low flame for a minute until
prawns
and the
masala
gets mixed well.
8.
Serve
hot along with rice or roti/naan and enjoy!
