Prawn Curry (Awadhi Style)

Ingredients
•
Prawn
- 750 grams
•
Yogurt/Curd
- 250 grams
•
Yellow chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Onions
- 2
•
Ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons
•
Oil
- ½ cup
•
Red chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Fenugreek seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Fenugreek leaves (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Coriander leaves (chopped)
- as required
•
Ginger (julienned, for garnishing)
- as required
•
Ghee
- as required
•
Salt
- as required
Method
1. Clean and
wash
the
prawns
, set aside.
2.
Heat
oil
in a pan,
add
fenugreek seeds
followed by
ginger-garlic paste
. Saute it all for a while, until the aroma goes away.
3.
Add
the chopped
onion
and
fry
it until it turns light brown.
4.
Add
the
red chilly
,
turmeric powder
,
fenugreek leaves
and
garam masala powder
. Saute for a few minutes.
5. Now,
add
prawns
into the
masala
and
stir
it well until it gets cooked.
6.
Add
yogurt
,
salt
&
ghee
,
mix
it well.
7.
Serve
by
garnishing
it with
coriander leaves
and
ginger
juliennes.
