Potato Pachadi

Ingredients
•
Potatoes (chopped)
- 1 ½ cups
•
Coriander seeds/Dhania
- 1 tablespoon
•
Red chillies
- 7
•
Asafoetidas
- a pinch
•
Tamarinds (soaked & extracted)
- a little
•
Coconut (grated)
- 1 teaspoon
•
Chutney dal
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil (for seasoning and frying)
- as required
Method
1.
Heat
little
oil
and
fry
red chillies
, mustard,
coriander seeds
, till golden.
2.
Fry
the finely chopped
potatoes
till golden brown
3.
Grind
everything including
coconut
and
chutney dal
to
coarse paste
with
tamarind
and
salt
.
4. Sprinkle little
water
while
grinding
if necessary.
5.
Fry
mustard
seeds
in
oil
,
add
asafoetida
in that and
mix
with pachadi.
