Ingredients

Maida
- 2 ½ cups
•
Yogurt
- 4 tablespoons
•
Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Sugar
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- 2 teaspoons
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
•
Flour (for dusting)
- as required
•
Kalonji seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Water (for kneading)
- as required
Method
1.
Mix
the
maida
,
salt
,
sugar
,
baking
powder
and
baking
soda
in a bowl.
2.
Make
a well in the center.
add
the
curd
,
oil
and
water
.
3. Begin to
mix
the
flour
with the liquids first and then
start
to knead.
make
a smooth and soft dough.
4. In the same bowl or pan,
cover
the dough with a wet kitchen napkin and let the dough ferment for 2 hours.
5.
Make
small balls of the dough. sprinkle some
kalonji seeds
on the ball.
6.
Make
even sized balls and
roll
into thick round chapati using
maida
for dredging.
7. Puff up as mentioned in previous recipe and
serve
hot.
