Peas Carrot And Bread Bhath

Ingredients

Rice
- 1 cup
•
Carrots
- 4
•
Peas
- ½ cup
•
Onions
- 3
•
Green chillies
- 5
•
Red chillies
- 4
•
Tomato juice
- 100 milliliters
•
Poppy seeds
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- ¼ cup
•
Cashew nuts
- few
•
Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Curry leaves
- few
•
Salt
- as required
•
Ghee/Oil
- 2 tablespoons
•
Bread (diced)
- 3 slices
•
Coriander leaves
- a few
Method
1.
Cook
rice
and allow it to cool.
2.
Add
a Teaspoon of
ghee
and separate the grains with fork.
3.
Fry
red chillies
and
poppy seeds
in half a Teaspoon of
oil
and
grind
it along with
coconut
and one
onion
.
4.
Dice
carrots
and
onions
.
5. Slit
green chillies
into two.
6.
Heat
oil
,
add
cashew nuts
and
green chillies
and then
fry
onions
,
carrots
and
peas
.
7. When it is half cooked,
add
ground
masala
with half a cup of
water
.
8.
Reduce
flame till
carrots
and
peas
becomes soft.
9. Close with a lid.
10. When moisture is completely absorbed,
add
salt
and
turmeric powder
.
11.
Mix
rice
to this gently.
12. Sprinkle
tomato juice
while
frying
.
13.
Keep
on low flame for few minutes till
rice
becomes hot.
14.
Mix
fried
bread
cubes before
removing
from fire.
15.
Serve
garnished with
cut
coriander leaves
and
curry leaves
.
