Ingredients

Green gram dal
- ¼ cup
•
Keerais/Amaranth leaves
- 1 bunch
•
Salt
- ½ teaspoon
Ingredients For Grinding Together
•
Coconut
- 2 tablespoons
•
Jeera
- 1 teaspoon
•
Tuvar dal
- 1 teaspoon
•
Red chilly (dry)
- 1
•
Asafoetida powder
- a pinch
•
Water
- 1 tablespoon
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Oil
- 2 teaspoons
•
Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Urad dal
- 1 teaspoon
•
Red chilly
- 1
Method
1.
Boil
water
,
add
green gram dal
.
2. Once the
dal
is soft
add
keerai
/
amaranth leaves
and
cook
till wilted.
Add
salt
and
keep
aside.
3.
Grind
until smooth -
coconut
,
jeera
,
tuvar dal
, dry
red chilly
,
asafoetida powder
and
water
.
4.
Add
grinded
paste
into the cooked
keerai
.
Mix
well and
keep
aside.
5. In a pan,
heat
oil
.
Add
mustard seeds
and wait for it to splutter.
Add
urad dal
. When
urad dal
starts to brown
add
red chilly
.
6.
Pour
fried
mustard seeds
mixture
on top of the
keerai
.
7.
Serve
.
