Paneer Makhanwala

Ingredients

Butter
- 2 ½ tablespoons
•
Paneer
- 400 grams
•
Oil (for deep frying paneer pieces)
- as required
Ingredients For Grinding Together
•
Onions
- 2
•
Ginger
- 1 inch piece
•
Garlic
- 6 flakes
•
Red chillies
- 3
•
Tomatoes
- 5
•
Coriander leaves
- ½ bunch
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
•
Coconut (grated)
- 1 ½ tablespoons
•
Poppy seeds
- 2 teaspoons
•
Cinnamon
- 1 inch piece
•
Cloves
- 4
•
Cardamoms
- 2
•
Chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Dhania powder
- 2 teaspoons
•
Salt
- as required
Method
1.
Make
paneer
,
cut
into cubes and deep
fry
in
oil
.
2.
Grind
masala
without
adding
water
.
3.
Heat
half of the
butter
and one Tablespoon of
oil
,
add
the ground
masala
and
fry
well till ghee separates from it.
4.
Add
fried
paneer
cubes and 1 Tablespoon of
butter
, with little
water
.
5.
Reduce
the flame,
cover
and
keep
for a few minutes.
6.
Stir
carefully in between.
7.
Remove
from fire and
serve
garnished with
coriander leaves
.
