Paneer Butter Masala

Ingredients For Masala Paste

Butter
- 1 tablespoon
•
Onion (roughly chopped)
- 1
•
Tomatoes (finely chopped)
- 2
•
Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon
•
Cashew nuts
- 15
Other Ingredients
•
Butter
- 1 tablespoon
•
Bay leaf
- 1
•
Cloves
- 3
•
Cinnamon stick
- 1 inch
•
Red chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Coriander powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Full cream
- ¼ cup
•
Sugar
- 1 teaspoon
•
Paneer
- 200 grams
•
Garam masala
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Kasuri methis
- 1 teaspoon
Method
1.
Heat
butter
in a pan
add
onion
,
ginger-garlic paste
and saute for a few minutes.
2. Then
add
tomatoes
,
cashew nut
and saute till they turn mushy.
3. Cool it and
blend
to smooth
paste
without
adding
any
water
and
make
masala
paste
.
4. Again
heat
butter
in a pan
add
bay leaf
,
cloves
and
cinnamon stick
,
turmeric powder
,
chilly
powder
and saute.
5.
Add
masala
paste
and saute until the
oil
separates from the gravy.
6. Then
add
coriander powder
,
salt
, fresh
cream
and
mix
well.
7. Then
add
paneer
pieces and coat the gravy by
mixing
gently.
8. At the end
add
garam masala
and
kasuri methi
.
Mix
well.
9.
Serve
with roti or naan.
