Paneer Afghani

Ingredients

Paneer cubes (sliced length-wise)
- 2 cups
•
Almonds
- 2 tablespoons
•
Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon
•
Curd
- ½ cup
•
Cream
- 2 tablespoons
•
Garam masala
- 1 tablespoon
•
Chilly powder
- 2 teaspoons
•
Oil
- as required
•
Onions
- 1 cup
•
Cinnamon powder
- 2 teaspoons
•
Tomato puree
- 1 cup
•
Jaggery
- 1 tablespoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Milk
- ¼ cup
Method
1.
Grind
almonds
,
cumin seeds
and
poppy seeds
into a
powder
.
2. In a bowl
add
curd
,
cream
, grounded
powder
,
garam masala
,
chilly powder
and
paneer cubes
and
mix
well.
Marinate
for 1 hour.
3. In pan
heat
oil
.
Add
onion
and
cinnamon powder
. Sauté until golden brown.
4.
Add
tomato puree
,
jaggery
and
salt
. Let it
boil
and
reduce
.
5.
Add
milk
. Let the
mixture
boil
and
reduce
.
6.
Add
marinated paneer, and its
marinade
.
Mix
well.
