Palak Paneer

Ingredients

Spinaches
- 1 bunch
•
Sugar
- ½ teaspoon
•
Oil
- 1 tablespoon
•
Onions (chopped)
- 1 cup
•
Green chillies
- 2
•
Cashew nuts
- ¼ cup
•
Oil
- 1 tablespoon
•
Ginger
- 1 tablespoon
•
Garlic
- 1 tablespoon
•
Black cardamom
- 1
•
Cinnamon
- 1
•
Cloves
- 4
•
Tomatoes (chopped)
- ½ cup
•
Red chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Garam masala
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Paneer
- 200 grams
•
Fenugreek leaves (dry)
- 1 teaspoon
•
Cream (fresh)
- 2 tablespoons
Method
1. Blanch
spinach
with
sugar
in
boiling
water
for 2 minutes.
2.
Heat
oil
and
fry
onion
,
cashew nut
and
green chilly
.
3.
Blend
the
spinach
with
onion
mixture
to
make
a smooth
spinach
puree.
4.
Heat
oil
in a pan and
add
garlic
,
ginger
,
black cardamom
,
cinnamon
,
cloves
and
stir
.
5. Then
add
tomatoes
and
fry
until it becomes soft.
6.
Add
red chilly powder
,
garam masala
,
salt
and
stir
for 2 minutes.
7. Then
add
the
spinach
puree and
stir
. When the gravy comes to
boil
,
add
the
paneer
and
mix
well.
8.
Add
fresh
cream
and
serve
hot.
