Onion Kulcha

Ingredients
•
Whole wheat flour
- 4 cups
•
Yeasts (dry)
- 1 teaspoon
•
Sugar
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Lukewarm water
- as required
Ingredients For The Filling Of The Kulcha
•
Onion
- 1
•
Coriander leaf
- 1 small bunch
•
Mint leaves (fresh)
- 5
•
Garlic
- 6 cloves
•
Salt
- as required
•
Red chilly powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon
Method To Prepare Kulcha
1. Dissolve
yeast
in half a cup of
lukewarm water
and
keep
in a warm place for 10 to 15 minutes.
2.
Mix
salt
and
oil
with
flour
.
3.
Pour
dissolved
yeast
mixture
and gather dough with finger tips, using more warm
water
for
mixing
the dough.
4. Close with a wet muslin cloth and allow the dough to double in its volume (Nearly 3 to 4 hours)
5.
Make
even sized balls and
roll
into thick round chapati using maida for dredging.
6. Puff up as mentioned in previous recipe and
serve
hot.
Method To Prepare The Filling Of Kulcha
1.
Heat
oil
in a deep curved pan and
fry
grated
onion
till golden brown. (
oil
separates).
2.
Mix
all the other
ingredients
and
remove
from fire.
3. Stuff 1 or 2 tablespoons of filling for each kulcha.
4.
Fry
on a hot 'tawa' using little
oil
for
frying
both sides.
5. Press well and
drain
on absorbent paper.
Serve
hot.
