Moong Sprouts Kurma

Ingredients

Sprouted green grams
- 3 cups
•
Onions (small, peeled)
- 12
•
Garlic
- 7 flakes
•
Tomatoes
- 2
•
Tamarind
- lime size
•
Coconut (grated)
- 3 tablespoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Jaggery
- as required
Ingredients For Frying In The Oil

Red chillies
- 6
•
Dhania
- 1 tablespoon
•
Bengal gram dhals
- 1 tablespoon
•
Poppy seeds (dry roast separately)
- 1 teaspoon
Method
1. Steam
cook
sprouts for 3 minutes in a pressure cooker.
2.
Cut
tomatoes
finely.
3.
Soak
tamarind
in little
water
and take thick extract.
4. Dry
grind
roasted
poppy
and fried
spices
along with
coconut
.
5.
Add
water
at the end and
grind
to smooth
paste
.
6.
Heat
little
oil
and
fry
garlic
, small
onion
till golden.
7.
Add
chopped
tomatoes
and
stir
till moisture is absorbed.
8.
Mix
ground paste
,
salt
,
jaggery
and
keep
stirring
till good aroma comes.
9.
Pour
tamarind
extract and steam cooked sprouts.
10.
Cook
till gravy becomes thick.
11. This kurma can be served with chapatis or Rawa Idlis.
