Mixed Vegetables Saag

Ingredients

• • Onions - 2
• • Chow-chow - ½
• • Carrots - 2
• • Bean - 100 grams
• • Potatoes - 2
• • Green pea - 100 grams
• • Cauliflower - ½
• • Salt - as required
• • Oil - 3 tablespoons
• • Mustard seeds - ½ teaspoon
• • Black gram dal - 1 teaspoon
• • Bengal gram dal - 1 teaspoon
• • Curry leaves - 1 sprig

Ingredients For Grinding Together

• • Coconut (scraped) - ½
• • Green chillies - 10
• • Coriander leaves - 1 bunch
• • Ginger - 1 inch piece
• • Grams (roasted) - 1 tablespoon

Method

• 1. Cut onions finely.
• 2. Dice all the vegetables, add enough water and cook in pressure cooker.
• 3. Heat oil in a pan, season with mustard seeds, black gram dal, Bengal gram dal and curry leaves.
• 4. Add onions and fry till translucent.
• 5. Add the ground mixture fry for a minute, mix all the vegetables with enough water and salt.
• 6. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes ( or) till the gravy thickens.
• 7. Serve hot with puris or idlis.
