Mint Coconut Chutney

Ingredients

Mint leaves
- 1 cup
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- ¼ cup
•
Red chillies
- 3
•
Onion (big)
- 1
•
Salt
- as required
•
Tamarind (soaked in water)
- small lime size
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
•
Mustard seeds
- ¼ teaspoon
Method
1. Pluck the
leaves
alone from
mint
, measure,
wash
well and
grind
it with
red chillies
,
coconut
,
salt
,
onion
and
tamarind
to a smooth
paste
.
2.
Heat
oil
in a
frying
pan
add
mustard seeds
, allow to crackle and
fry
the ground chutney for few minutes.
3.
Serve
with Idli or dosa varieties.
