Methi Roti

Ingredients
•
Wheat flour
- 2 cups
•
Methi leaves/Fenugreek leaves (chopped leaves alone)
- 2 bunches
•
Salt (powdered)
- 1 teaspoon
•
Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Oil (for the dough)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Dhania powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Red chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Ajwain/Thymol seeds
- ½ teaspoon
Method
1.
Mix
all the
ingredients
in a
mixing
bowl.
2. Sprinkle enough
water
and knead to a smooth dough.
3.
Make
chapatis of medium thickness.
4.
Roast
on a hot tawa using half a Teaspoon of
oil
for both sides of each chapati.
Note
• After
chopping
the
leaves
mix
it immediately with the
flour
to prevent it becoming bitter.
• To
make
methi
parathas
add
more
oil
to the
flour
while
mixing
. Do parathas thicker than rotis.
