Methi Koftas In Aloo Gravy

Ingredients For Making The Koftas
•
Bengal gram flour
- ¾ cup
•
Fenugreek leaves
- 3 bunches
•
Salt
- as required
•
Red chilly powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Bread slices
- 3
•
Garam masala powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Oil (for deep frying)
- as required
Ingredients For Making The Gravy
•
Potato
- 200 grams
•
Chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Garam masala powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Tomato paste
- ½ cup
Ingredients For Grinding Together
•
Coconut (grated)
- 3 tablespoons
•
Poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon
Ingredients For Garnishing
•
Coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon
Method To Prepare Koftas
1.
Mix
all the dry
ingredients
together.
2.
Chop
fenugreek leaves
and
mix
immediately with the
flour
.
3.
Dip
bread slices
one by one in
water
, squeeze well and
mix
with the
flour
.
4. Sprinkle
water
if necessary and
prepare
thick dough.
5.
Prepare
small balls from the dough, shape it lengthwise (like jamun) and deep
fry
in hot
oil
till crisp and golden.
Method To Prepare Gravy
1.
Cut
potato
into big pieces.
2.
Cook
in
water
till soft.
3.
Add
salt
, sugar,
garam masala
,
turmeric powder
,
tomato paste
to that.
4.
Boil
for another 1 or 2 minutes.
5.
Add
ground paste
and
cook
again till
boiling
point.
6. Arrange fried koftas in a
serving
dish.
7.
Pour
hot gravy on top. Garnish with chopped
coriander leaves
.
Serve
hot with chapatis.
