Methi Khakhra

Ingredients
•
Whole wheat flour
- 2 cups
•
Fenugreek leaves (chopped)
- ¾ cup
•
Sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon
•
Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Chilly powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- 2 teaspoons
•
Ghee
- as required
Method
1. Combine all the
ingredients
in a deep bowl and knead into a semi soft dough using enough
water
.
2.
Keep
it aside for 10 minutes.
3.
Make
balls and
roll
out into very thin chapatis.
4.
Heat
a thin 'tawa' and
roast
each chapati by applying little
ghee
on both sides till light golden colour.
5.
Fry
all the chapatis in the same manner and
keep
aside.
6. Place a 'heavy tawa' on fire.
7. When it becomes hot put a prepared chapati on top and using a muslin cloth press on top of chapati giving pressure evenly and at the same time
roll
chapati in round motion constantly till it is well browned.
8. Turn over once and repeat the same process till chapati becomes crisp.
