Ingredients
•
Green gram dal
- ½ cup
•
Fenugreek leaves
- 5 bunches
•
Dhania powder
- 1 tablespoon
•
Jeera powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Red chilly powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Garam masala powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Oil
- 1 tablespoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Asafoetida powder
- a little
•
Lemon
- 1
•
Green chillies (slit lengthwise)
- 2
Method
1. Pressure
cook
Green gram dal
till one whistle.
2.
Wash
and
chop
fenugreek leaves
. Sprinkle little
salt
and
keep
aside.
3.
Heat
little
oil
in a
frying
pan, season with
cumin seeds
. Slit
chillies
,
asafoetida
and
add
fenugreek leaves
.
4.
Fry
for 2 minutes,
add
dhania
,
jeera powder
,
garam masala powder
,
red chilly powder
,
salt
and then
pour
cooked
dal
in it.
5.
Cook
for few minutes. Squeeze
lemon
and
remove
from fire.
6.
Serve
hot with chapatis.
