Ingredients

Pumpkins (cubed)
- 2 cups

Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon

Salt

Jaggery
- 1 teaspoon
Ingredients For Grinding Together

Coconut (grated, fresh)
- ¾ cup
•
Cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Red chilly (dried)
- 1
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon
•
Mustard seeds
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Urad dal
- ½ teaspoon
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
Method
1.
Cook
pumpkin
pieces in enough
water
with
turmeric powder
and
salt
.
2.
Grind
coconut
,
cumin seeds
and
red chilly
to a smooth
paste
using little
water
.
3. Once the
pumpkin
pieces are cooked,
add
the
ground paste
mix
well and
simmer
for 3 to 4 minutes or until it starts
boiling
.
4.
Fry
coconut
to golden yellow in
coconut oil
and
add
to gravy after
removing
from fire.
5.
Fry
mustard seeds
,
urad dal
,
red chilly
and
curry leaves
in little
oil
and
add
to gravy.
6.
Add
little
jaggery
and
mix
well
7. Garnish with
curry leaves
.
