Ingredients

Half ripe mangoes
- 2
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- 3 tablespoons
•
Red chillies
- 10
•
Coriander seeds
- 1 tablespoon
•
Urad dal
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Fenugreek
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Tamarind extract
- a little
•
Jaggery
- as required
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
•
Red chilly
- 1
•
Mustard seeds
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Curry leaves
- few
Method
1. Select
mangoes
which are little sour and sweet in
taste
.
2.
Scrape
outer skin and
dice
into medium squares.
3.
Cook
in
water
or thin
tamarind extract
till
mangoes
are soft.
4.
Fry
grated
coconut
in little
oil
till it turns golden brown.
5. Dry
roast
other
spices
each separately.
6.
Powder
them together with
coconut
.
7.
Add
this
powder
when
mangoes
are cooked.
Add
enough
salt
and
jaggery
.
8.
Boil
for few minutes and
remove
from fire.
9.
Heat
oil
, season with
mustard seeds
, broken
red chillies
and
curry leaves
.
10.
Pour
on top of gravy and
mix
well.
11.
Serve
with cooked rice.
