Lauki Halwa

Ingredients

Milk
- 1 cup
•
Bottle gourd
- 500 grams
•
Sugar
- 1 cup
•
Mawas
- ½ cup
•
Ghee
- ¼ cup
•
Cashew nuts
- 1 teaspoon
•
Almonds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Pistachios
- 1 teaspoon
•
Cardamom powder
- 1 teaspoon
Method
1.
Add
grated
bottle gourd
and
milk
in a pan.
Simmer
.
2.
Cover
and
cook
on medium flame for 3-4 minutes until its tender and fragrant.
3.
Cook
in high flame until
milk
has evaporated.
4.
Add
sugar
and
mix
well.
Cook
until
sugar
is incorporated.
5.
Add
ghee
and cooked
mawa
to the cooked
bottle gourd
mixture
.
6.
Heat
the pan on moderate
heat
and
add
ghee
.
7.
Add
cashew nuts
,
almonds
and
pistachios
. Saute for until golden brown.
8.
Add
cardamom powder
, fried nuts and
mix
thoroughly.
9.
Cook
for a few minutes. Transfer to a bowl.
10. Garnish with chopped dry fruits and
serve
.
