Banana (raw)

White pumpkin
- ¼ kg
•
Malabar yam
- ¼ kg
•
Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Bengal gram dal
- ¼ cup
•
Red chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- 1 ½ tablespoons
•
Coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon
•
Salt
- as required

Coconut (grated, fresh)
- 2 ½ tablespoons
•
Aniseeds/Sombus
- ½ teaspoon
Method
1.
Scrape
outer skin and
slice
vegetables
into 2 inch pieces.
2.
Cook
the
vegetables
in enough
water
with little
turmeric powder
.
3.
Cook
bengal gram dal
in
water
separately till it splits.
4.
Add
cooked
vegetables
,
chilly
powder
and
salt
.
5.
Boil
for few minutes and then
add
ground paste
.
6.
Cook
for 3 to 4 minutes.
7.
Fry
rest of the grated
coconut
in
coconut oil
till golden yellow and
add
to the gravy just before
removing
from fire.
8.
Serve
hot with cooked rice.
