Kandhi Pappu Kattu

Ingredients

Thuar dal
- 1 tablespoon
•
Garlic
- 15 cloves
•
Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Tamarind (soaked in hot water)
- lemon size
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Red chilly (broken)
- 1
•
Cumin
- ½ teaspoon
•
Ghee
- 1 tablespoon
Method
1. Dry
roast
thuar dal
till it turns golden brown, and
powder
it in mixie.
2.
Mix
the
powder
with 2 cups of
water
.
3.
Peel
15 flakes of
garlic
and
cook
in
water
to which little
turmeric powder
is added.
4.
Cook
till soft.
Strain
water
and
pour
thuar
water
and
boil
for few minutes.
5.
Add
salt
and
tamarind
extract.
6.
Heat
little
ghee
,
fry
few broken
red chillies
,
cumin
seeds
and
mix
with
boiling
kattu.
7. Garnish with
curry leaves
and
serve
hot with cooked rice.
