Kadhai Mutton

Ingredients
•
Boneless mutton (cut into thin strips)
- 500 grams
•
Dahi/Curd
- 1 cup
•
Garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons
•
Garam masala
- 2 teaspoons
•
Chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Jeera powder/Cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Kasoori methis
- 2 teaspoons
•
Tomato puree
- 2 tablespoons
•
Whole dry red chillies
- 4
•
Oil
- 3 tablespoons
•
Ginger (julienned)
- a few
•
Coriander leaves (for garnishing)
- a few
Method
1.
Marinate
the
mutton
strips in
dahi
,
garlic paste
,
salt
,
lemon juice
and
garam masala
for 2 hours.
2.
Heat
oil
in a kadai and the
whole dry red chillies
. After a minute,
add
the
mutton
with the
marinade
.
3.
Stir
fry
over medium
heat
for 10-15 minutes and
add
the
tomato puree
, dhania
powder
,
jeera powder
and
kasoori methi
.
4.
Cover
and
simmer
until
mutton
is tender.
5. Garnish with
ginger
matchsticks and
coriander leaves
and
serve
hot from the kadhai.
