Green Gram Dal Payasam

Ingredients

Green gram dal (dehusked, split)
- 1 cup
•
Jaggery (grated)
- 1 ΒΌ cups
•
Cardamom powder
- a little
•
Cashew nuts (broken)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Ghee (for frying)
- as required
Method
1. Dry
roast
dal
in deep curved pan till it changes golden yellow.
2.
Add
boiling
water
and
cook
till
dal
splits.
3.
Add
jaggery
and
cook
till it is dissolved completely.
4.
Fry
cashew nuts
in
ghee
and
add
it after
removing
from fire.
5. Sprinkle
cardamom powder
and
mix
well.
