Green Chilly Chutney

Ingredients
•
Green chilly
- 100 grams
•
Tamarind
- big lemon size
•
Salt
- 2 teaspoons
•
Sugar
- 1 teaspoon
•
Oil
- 1 tablespoon
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Asafoetida powder
- 2 pinches
Method
1.
Wash
and
chop
chillies
into 1 inch pieces.
2.
Soak
tamarind
in
water
and squeeze to
get
thick extract.
3.
Grind
green chillies
, with
salt
to a
coarse paste
.
4.
Heat
oil
in a '
frying
pan'
add
mustard
, allow to crackle,
add
asafoetida
and then
mix
green chilly
paste
.
5.
Fry
for a minute,
pour
tamarind
extract,
sugar
and
boil
until thick.
6. As this is very spicy
serve
in small quantities.
