Gobi Mutter Masala

Ingredients

Cauliflowers
- 2
•
Peas
- 2 cups
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- 2 ½ tablespoons
•
Tomato ketchup
- ½ cup
•
Cinnamon
- 2 inch pieces
•
Cloves
- 4
•
Aniseeds
- ½ teaspoon
Ingredients For Grinding Together

Onions
- 2
•
Garlic
- 10 flakes
•
Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Dhania
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Cashew nuts
- 15
•
Chilly powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Green chillies
- 5
•
Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon
Method
1.
Cut
cauliflower
into big pieces,
wash
well and
boil
it in
water
along with
peas
.
2.
Grind
masala
to
coarse paste
and
keep
aside.
3.
Heat
oil
, season with
cinnamon
,
clove
and
aniseed
.
4.
Add
ground
masala
and
fry
in a medium flame, till
oil
separates from it.
5.
Mix
boiled
vegetables
,
salt
and enough
water
.
6.
Cook
till the gravy turns fairly thick.
7. Sprinkle
tomato ketchup
and
mix
well.
8.
Remove
from fire after one or two minutes.
9. Garnish with
coriander
or curry
leaves
.
Variation
• Paneer can be added along with
vegetables
.
• Tomato
paste
can be used instead of
ketchup
.
•
Add
it after
frying
the
masala
paste
.
