Goan Fish Head Curry

Ingredients
•
Fish head
- 500 grams
•
Oil
- 50 milliliters
•
Tomato
- 100 grams
•
Curry leaf
- 10 leaves
•
Turmeric
- 1 teaspoon
•
Chilly powder
- 1 tablespoon
•
Coconut milk
- ½ cup
•
Salt
- as required
Ingredients For Paste
•
Onions
- 2
•
Coconut grateds
- ½ cup
•
Coriander seeds
- 4 teaspoons
•
Cumin seeds
- 2 teaspoons
•
Peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon
•
Green chilly
- 4 pieces
•
Ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons
•
Vinegar
- ½ cup
Method
1.
Cut
the
fish heads
into required sizes and clean them well.
2.
Chop
the
onions
into small pieces and
add
it in a grinder,
add
grated
coconut,
coriander seeds
,
cumin seeds
,
peppercorns
,
green chillies
,
ginger-garlic paste
and
vinegar
.
Grind
them well into a
paste
and set aside.
3.
Heat
oil
in a pan and
add
chopped
tomato
and saute it for 3 - 5 minutes.
Add
the
paste
,
turmeric
powder
,
chilly powder
,
cook
it for 5 minutes.
4. Now
add
the
fish heads
in the pan and
cook
it well by
adding
1 cup of
water
and bringing it to
boil
.
Add
salt
to
taste
while
cooking
so that it mixes well.
5. Once you find the
fish heads
cooked,
add
coconut milk
and let it
boil
for 5 minutes.
6. Garnish with
curry leaves
, the aromatic Goan
Fish Head
Curry
is ready to be served hot on a bed of cooked rice.
