Goan Drumstick Masala

Ingredients

• • Drumsticks - 8
• • Onions - 2
• • Salt - as required
• • Turmeric powder - ¼ teaspoon
• • Tamarinds - a little
• • Oil (for frying) - as required
• • Sugar - ½ teaspoon

Ingredients For Grinding Together

• • Coriander seeds - 1 tablespoon
• • Cumin seeds - ½ teaspoon
• • Ginger - ½ inch piece
• • Garlic - 3 flakes
• • Green chillies - 6
• • Coconut (grated, fresh) - ½ cup

Method

• 1. Dice onions into pieces.
• 2. Cook drumsticks in enough water till it turns to break.
• 3. Fry onions in little oil till it becomes transparent.
• 4. Add ground masala and fry (or few minutes.
• 5. Add drumsticks, salt turmeric, tamarind extract, sugar and enough water to gravy.
• 6. Cook till gravy becomes thick.
