Garlic Chicken

Ingredients
•
Chicken (cut into 8 pieces)
- 1

Garlic (crushed & chopped)
- 2 tablespoons
Ingredients For Marination
•
Red chilly paste
- 1 tablespoon
•
Pepper
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Salt
- ¼ teaspoon
Ingredients For Sauce
•
Soya sauce
- 2 tablespoons
•
Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon
•
Tomato ketchup
- 2 tablespoons
•
Tomato puree
- 2 tablespoons
•
Cornflours
- 2 teaspoons
•
Spring onions (cut into thin long strips)
- 2
•
Oil
- 5 tablespoons
Method
1.
Marinate
chicken
pieces with
salt
,
pepper
and
chilly
paste
.
2.
Heat
oil
in a pressure cooker.
Add
garlic
.
Stir
till it slightly changes colour.
3.
Add
the
chicken
pieces.
Cook
on high flame till the
chicken
pieces slightly change colour and turn light brown.
4.
Add
¾ cup
water
and pressure
cook
to give 2 whistles.
Remove
from fire.
5. Collect
soya sauce
,
vinegar
,
ketchup
,
tomato puree
and
cornflour
in a bowl.
6. Open the lid of the pressure cooker by putting
cold water
on the
cover
.
7. Return the cooker to fire & dry the excess
water
slightly.
8.
Add
the collected
sauces
.
Stir
fry
till the
chicken
is coated and dry.
9.
Add
the
spring onions
.
Serve
hot.
