Fenugreek Leaves Chutney

Ingredients

Fenugreek leaves
- 1 bunch
•
Thuar dal
- 1 tablespoon
•
Red chillies
- 3
•
Pepper
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Cumin seeds
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Tomato (diced)
- 1
•
Coconut (grated)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Tamarind (soaked & extracted)
- small lime size
•
Mustard
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Oil
- a little
Method
1. Pluck
fenugreek leaves
alone from its stem and
wash
well in
water
.
2.
Strain
and
keep
aside.
3.
Heat
½ Teaspoon of
oil
in a
frying
pan,
add
red chillies
,
thuar dal
,
pepper
,
cumin
and
roast
well. Transfer to a plate.
4.
Fry
fenugreek leaves
,
tomato
separately in little
oil
.
5.
Grind
all roasted, fried
ingredients
together with
coconut
,
tamarind
,
salt
to coarse chutney consistency.
6. Season
mustard
in little
oil
and
add
to chutney.
