Ingredients

Drumsticks
- 4

Onions (finely chopped)
- 3 tablespoons

Tomatoes (finely chopped)
- 3

Oil (for frying)
- as required
•
Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Dhania powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Red chilly powder
- ¾ teaspoon
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
Ingredients For Grinding To Coarse Paste
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Onion (big)
- 1
•
Aniseeds/Sombus
- ¾ teaspoon
Method
1.
Cut
drumstick
in to 2 inch pieces.
2.
Heat
oil
in a
frying
pan,
add
aniseeds
,
curry leaves
and then chopped
onions
.
3.
Fry
for few minutes and then
add
chopped
tomatoes
.
4.
Stir
in medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
5.
Add
drumsticks
and
fry
for 3 to 4 minutes
6.
Add
dhania powder
,
turmeric
,
salt
,
chilly
powder
and
mix
well.
7.
Pour
just enough
water
to
cover
the pieces and close with a lid.
8. When it is half cooked,
add
ground
mixture
and
cook
till dry.
